Exploring the Cultural, Managerial and Organizational Implications on Mergers and Acquisitions Outcomes

Abstract Background/Purpose: This work is focused on the variables that influence outcomes of mergers and acquisitions, by learning from past mistakes, adopt better strategies make wiser decisions to enhance their acquisitions. Using a qualitative approach, this research contributes existing knowledge acquisitions performance exploring cultural, managerial organizational factors dimensions through an integrative approach using multiple perspectives. Methodology: Fifteen interviews were conducted with experienced professionals in areas Content analysis was used interpret results. enabled achieve more complete set answers potential solutions while comparing opinions same problems slightly different angles. Results: Results show existence hubris, emotional attachment over-optimism There relative support towards standardizing process deals, but respondents advise keep some creativity flexibility. Conclusion: The article concludes addressing key issues for performance: capabilities experience; communication; internal coordination; and, decision-making.
